Calling all curious minds and budding farmers!

Kick off the Solano County Fair with a down-home celebration at Family Ag Day. This FREE event with your fair ticket purchase, and is your opportunity to get hands-on with agriculture, meeting the farmers who grow our food and the amazing animals they raise. From live demonstrations to interactive exhibits, Family Ag Day is a fun-filled adventure for the whole family, sparking a love for agriculture and where our food comes from. Don’t miss this exciting day – it’s the perfect way to grow closer to your community and celebrate the bounty of Solano County!

Solano County Ag Day started as an annual event for 3rd grade students in Solano County.  The event grew to over 3,000 students, until the unfortunate cancellation due to the pandemic.

In 2023, Youth Ag Day transformed to Family Ag Day, held during our annual Solano County Fair, with the goal of reaching more youth and families in Solano County.
The first year of Family Ag Day was well received & we are making year two even better!

Family Ag Day kicks off the opening of the Annual Solano County Fair on Thursday, June 13th from 4-8 pm.  This is the one day that gate admission will be significantly discounted to $1.00 per person, so sharing our rich Agricultural experience will be affordable for everyone.  Fair guests will have the opportunity to get hands-on with agriculture.  From live demonstrations to interactive exhibits, Family Ag Day is a fun-filled adventure for the whole family!

Total Animals: 453

Livestock Exhibitors: 105

*Of Note –

Livestock animal numbers are up 80% over 2022 going from 252 to 453.

Exhibitor numbers have also increased by 55% going from 66 to 102.

We are attributing the increases to several factors. More families are getting out post COVID times, a change in our policy allowing exhibitors to have more flexibility in the types and quantity of animals selling in our Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday, June 18th, and positive experiences from 2022 exhibitors telling friends and family what a great time they have at our fair.
